Val: I'm a 32 year old half French Moroccan, half Brooklyn American living in Brooklyn, NY. I am finishing my PhD in Urban Planning at Columbia University, where I research housing, land-use, and community engagement. I like to cook, bake, occasionally walk and bike, and hang out with my wonderful network of friends and family (carefully, in this pandemic age). I am joyfully married to a swing dancer/metal dude/native New Yorker/Soviet Jew named Greg. I am completing maintenance treatments after having survived stage 3, ER+ and HER-2+ breast cancer.
